Fatal Traffic Collision

October 1, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at 7:16 p.m., deputies assigned to the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of Limonite Avenue and Peralta Place, Jurupa Valley, regarding a major-injury traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a vehicle. When deputies arrived on scene, they located the motorcycle rider lying in the center island between the eastbound and westbound lanes with significant injuries. Deputies rendered medical aid to the motorcycle rider until paramedics arrived. The motorcycle rider succumbed to the injuries sustained during the collision at the scene.

The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The cause of the collision is still under investigation and it appears alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the collision. The identity of the motorcycle rider will not be released at this time, pending notification to the next of kin.

The collision investigation required the temporary closure of Limonite Avenue, between Peralta Place and Ave Juan Bautista in order to process the scene and collect evidence.
