October 3, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 3:12 p.m., deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the 600 block of Indian Hills Circle in the city of Perris regarding an assault with a deadly weapon.

Upon arrival, deputies located two males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Deputies immediately rendered medical aid; however, one of the male victims was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding paramedics. The other male victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Central Homicide Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The decedent’s name will not be released pending notification of the next of kin. Investigators are working to identify the suspect (s) involved. The investigation is ongoing, and no further information will be released at this time.
