Fatal Traffic Collision
October 5, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, about 7:00 p.m., deputies assigned to the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to the area of Limonite Avenue and Harrison Avenue, Eastvale, regarding a major-injury traffic collision involving two vehicles. When deputies arrived, they located the passenger of one of the vehicles with significant injuries. Deputies rendered medical aid to the passenger until paramedics arrived. The passenger ultimately succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded and assumed the investigation. The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and it appears that alcohol and/or drugs were not a factor in the collision. The identity of the passenger will not be released at this time, pending next of kin notification.
The collision investigation required the temporary closure of Limonite Avenue between Sumner Avenue and Cedar Creek Road, along with Harrison Avenue between Golden Bit and Great falls, to process the scene and collect evidence.
