October 7, 2024 – Lakewood Sheriff's Station officials report that two Paramount SAO Deputies conducted a patrol check at Dills Park. They saw a male adult drinking alcohol and detained him for a drinking in public investigation. The deputies searched the suspect and located a loaded firearm in his waistband along with a baggie containing methamphetamine. The suspect also had a glass pipe used to smoke the meth.

The suspect, a local resident, was arrested for illegal possession of a loaded firearm while in possession of narcotics, violation of CA Health and Safety code 11370.1.

Paramount SAO deputies are very active, targeting specific areas experiencing high crime.

Great job to both of these deputies for working hard to keep our neighborhoods safe.
