(1509 hours), deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff Office, East County Patrol and Detectives from the Thousand Oaks Investigations Bureau responded to a residential burglary in progress in the 800 block of Bellina Court in Thousand Oaks. Prior to this call for service, there were two other residential burglaries reported earlier that afternoon in the same general neighborhood. The sheriff’s personnel set up a large perimeter and 3 suspects were ultimately taken into custody. Through the investigation, detectives were able to establish the three suspects were also responsible for an attempted residential burglary and the additional residential burglary that were reported earlier that day. These suspects are also believed to be responsible for additional residential burglaries committed in the city of Thousand Oaks, earlier this year. Once the suspects were taken into custody, detectives with the Commercial Residential Burglary Unit contacted detectives from the Simi Valley Police Department, Ventura Police Department and Oxnard Police Department and learned that all these allied agencies had active burglary investigations involving this same burglary crew. Through a collaborative effort, detectives from the involved agencies were able to establish probable cause to arrest the three suspects for several additional counts of residential burglary in their respective cities.
