Felon in Possession of Weapons Arrest
October 16, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Monday, October 14, 2024, deputies assigned to the Perris Sheriff’s Station identified a wanted felon, Raymond Martinez, 24-year-old of Perris, and his brother, Ulyses Martinez, 22-year-old of Perris, at a residence located in the 1600 block of Alberhill Street, Perris.
Deputies responded to the location to take Raymond into custody on his active felony warrant; however, he ran attempting to escape arrest. Deputies were able to take him into custody inside the garage. While taking Raymond into custody, deputies saw, ballistic vests, an assault rifle, and ammunition in the garage.
Deputies authored and served a search warrant for the residence. During the service of the search warrant deputies located a total of 10 firearms, several ballistic vests and ballistic plates, 24 rifle and pistol magazines, hundreds of live ammunitions in different calibers, miscellaneous gun parts and items indicative of weapons manufacturing, 60 pounds of processed marijuana, and 1,115 grams of concentrate marijuana.
Due to the large quantity of marijuana, the Riverside Sheriff’s Marijuana Eradication Team (MET) responded to the residence and assumed the marijuana investigation. A subsequent search warrant was authored and approved for the marijuana products. MET valued the marijuana products to be an estimate total of $73,000 USD.
Raymond and Ulyses were transported and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for multiple weapons. All charges will be filed with the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office.
