Suspect Arrested and 49 Pounds of Methamphetamine Seized
October 18, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on October 16, 2024, the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement Team (SET) successfully concluded a long-term investigation into illegal narcotics operations. At 8:00 a.m., SET executed a search warrant at a residence on the 23200 block of Hemlock Avenue, resulting in the seizure of 49 pounds of packaged methamphetamine, with an estimated street value of $58,000. During the investigation, deputies also recovered an assault rifle and two semi-automatic handguns, highlighting the potential dangers associated with this illegal activity.
The primary suspect, 55-year-old Alfredo Pimienta a resident of Moreno Valley was arrested and booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center. He charges include possession of narcotics, possession for sales, and being a felon in possession of a firearm, among other related offenses.
Sheriff’s officials emphasize the importance of community vigilance in combatting drug-related crimes and encourage residents to report any suspicious activities.
