Bank Robbery in Imperial Beach 

October 26, 2024 – San Diego County Sheriff's Office officials report that a man is in custody after a bank robbery in Imperial Beach.

It happened on Friday, October 25, just after 9:00 a.m. at the Chase Bank located in the 1100 block of Palm Avenue. 

Deputies from the Imperial Beach Sheriff's Substation immediately responded to the bank after getting a call about a robbery in progress.

When deputies arrived, bank employees informed them a man entered the bank and demanded money. The employees complied. The suspect then took off on foot with an unknown amount of cash. 

Deputies searched the surrounding area for the suspect. Just before 10:00 a.m., they found and detained a man matching the suspect's description. Witnesses from the bank positively identified the man as the suspect in the robbery. 

Rashad McNeely (31) was arrested and booked into San Diego Central Jail on robbery and other charges.
