October 28, 2024 – Imperial County Sheriff's Office officials report that on October 25th, 2024, at around 11:00 p.m., Winterhaven Deputies responded to a call for service where a victim was just attacked with a firearm. While speaking with the victim, several strings of gunfire were heard approximately 100 yards away from deputies.
Deputies rushed to the sound of gunfire and surrounded the home of where gunfire was coming from. After several hours of negotiations and with the assistance of ICSO S.E.R.T. a search warrant was executed at the residence. ICSO deputies located 2 male suspects hiding in an attic armed with 3 unregistered firearms. A loaded AK47, a loaded sawed-off shotgun, and a loaded Glock pistol. The suspects were taken into custody and booked into Imperial County Jail for several firearms related charges.
