Residential Burglary 

November 8, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, riverside county sheriff logoat 3:58 p.m., deputies assigned to the Colorado River Sheriff’s Station responded to the 17000 block of Palowalla Road in the unincorporated area of Blythe known as Mesa Verde regarding an in-progress burglary.

A witness reported seeing subjects stealing property from a neighbor’s residence and loading the stolen goods into the bed of a gray Ford pick-up truck. Deputies quickly responded, saw the suspect vehicle fleeing the scene, and initiated a traffic stop. The occupants were detained and identified as 54-year-old Pablo Torres of Ripley, 62-year-old Russell Stroschein, and 43-year-old Becky Stroschein, both of Mesa Verde. Property valued at about $500 belonging to the victim was recovered in their possession. The three suspects were subsequently booked into the Blythe Jail for burglary, conspiracy, and possession of stolen property.
