Fire Related Death in Ramona
November 17, 2024 – San Diego County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Saturday, November 16, 2024, Sheriff's Deputies from the Ramona Substation and firefighters from Cal Fire responded to a report of a fire in the 18000 block of Cinnamon Rock Road, in Ramona. After firefighters extinguished the fire, which completely burnt a residential trailer, deputies discovered a deceased person inside, as well as the apparent remains of two dogs. Detectives from Sheriff's Bomb/Arson Unit and Sheriff's Homicide Unit are on scene conducting the follow-up investigation. The victim has not been identified.
