High-Country Health Food and Cafe in Mariposa California

December 4, 2024 – Imperial County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Friday, November 22, 2024, at approximately 7:42 p.m., Deputies from the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office Winterhaven Station conducted a pedestrian stop on a young male subject carrying a bottle of alcohol on Sapphire Lane and Garnet Drive.

Upon further investigation it was revealed that the subject was under the legal drinking age of 21, was a self-proclaimed member of a criminal street gang out of Yuma, Arizona and was in possession of a loaded firearm that had been reported stolen out of Yuma, Arizona.

The subject was booked into the Imperial County Jail for carrying a stolen loaded firearm, carrying a loaded firearm, criminal street gang member carrying a loaded firearm, possession of stolen property, possession of a high-capacity magazine, and minor in possession of alcohol.
