In-Custody Death 

December 24, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Sunday, December 22, 2024, deputies from the Robert Presley Detention Center found an unresponsive male inside a housing unit cell. Deputies and jail medical personnel performed life-saving measures until paramedics arrived, but the male was ultimately pronounced deceased.

Investigators from the Riverside Sheriff’s Office Corrections Central Investigations Unit responded and assumed the investigation. The inmate was identified as 39-year-old Anthony Wayne Brooks of Riverside. There were no signs of foul play.
