Fatal Traffic Collision 

December 26, 2024 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on December 25, 2024, at 2:03 a.m., deputies assigned to the Jurupa Valley Sheriff's Station responded to a major injury traffic collision on Limonite Avenue, west of Peralta Place, Jurupa Valley. Deputies arrived and located a vehicle that had collided with a tree. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The Jurupa Valley Sheriff's Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded and assumed the investigation. The cause of the collision is still under investigation, and it is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs played a role in this incident. The victim's name is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.

The collision investigation required the temporary closure of Limonite Avenue, between Peralta Place and Camino Real, to process the scene and collect evidence.
