Felon in Possession of Assault Weapon 

January 1, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 10:35 a.m., deputies assigned to the Hemet Sheriff’s Station responded to the 25000 block of Cornell Street in an unincorporated area of Riverside County known as East Hemet regarding suspicious circumstances.

When deputies arrived, they encountered Isaiah Robinson, who immediately fled on foot, leaving behind a duffle bag. Deputies located an assault weapon and a loaded high-capacity magazine within the duffle bag. Robinson fled to residences on Orange Place and Dixon Drive and hid in several backyards. With the assistance of the Sheriff’s helicopter, “Star-9,” and Sheriff’s K-9s, Robinson was arrested without incident and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for several weapon-related charges, resisting/delaying a peace officer, burglary, and theft.
