Camarillo Death Investigation
January 4, 2025 – Ventura County Sheriff's Office officials report that Sheriff’s Major Crimes is conducting a death 
investigation regarding two individuals found deceased in a residence.
On January 2, 2025, at approximately 2:25 p.m., Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call from a male subject stating he had just shot his wife and was planning on shooting himself. When deputies arrived and made entry into the residence, they located a male and a female inside of the location suffering from gunshot wounds. Life saving measures were attempted, but the subjects were declared deceased at the scene.
Investigators are actively working on the case and anyone with information is asked to contact Detective DeLaCerda at 805-384-4724.
The investigation shows this to be an isolated incident, with no outstanding threat to the public.
