Man Shot And Killed
January 7, 2025 – Van Nuys, CA – Los Angeles Police Department Officials report that the Valley Bureau Homicide are investigating a shooting that resulted in one fatality.
On January 5, 2025, around 5:35 a.m., West Valley Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of an “Assault with a Deadly Weapon, shots fired” near the 16100 block of Leadwell Street. When officers arrived, they found a lone male victim lying in the street, suffering from a single gunshot wound.
Los Angeles Fire Department personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The deceased victim is described as a male, age unknown. His identity is currently being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
No arrests have been made at this time and no suspect information is available.
Detectives from Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations-Valley Bureau Homicide responded to the scene and are handling the investigation.
