January 7, 2025 – San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department officials report that beginning this month, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Gangs/Narcotics Division will begin fielding proactive gang enforcement teams throughout San Bernardino County. The teams will consist of members of the Sheriff's Department, Probation, California Highway Patrol and local surrounding police agencies that participate in proactive gang enforcement.

The purpose of the proactive patrols is to seek out members of criminal street gangs who violate the law.

The proactive patrols will be ongoing, focused on high crime areas throughout the county and aim to improve the quality of life of the county's residents and rid our communities of the most violent offenders.
