Fatal Traffic Collision 

January 10, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on January 8, 2025, at 9:46 p.m., deputies assigned to the Palm Desert Sheriff’s Station responded to a major injury traffic collision on Country Club Drive, west of El Dorado Drive, Palm Desert. Upon Arrival, deputies observed three involved vehicles in the west-bound lanes of Country Club Drive. The driver of one of the vehicles, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Paramedics responded and transported one driver to a local hospital with minor injuries.

The Palm Desert Traffic Team was called to the scene and assumed the investigation. Based on the preliminary evidence, it appears one vehicle was traveling east, in the west-bound lanes of Country Club Drive, when the vehicle struck two other vehicles who were driving west. It is unknown if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the collision. The name of the decedent is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

The traffic collision investigation required the temporary closure of the intersections of Country Club Drive and El Dorado Drive, in addition to Country Club Drive and Desert Falls Drive, Palm Desert.
