Home Invasion Suspects Arrested 

January 12, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 6:04 p.m., deputies from Lake Mathew’s Sheriff Station responded to a residence in the 19000 block of Consul Avenue in the unincorporated area of El Cerrito regarding an armed home invasion. During the home invasion, two suspects forced their way into the residence armed with a firearm and demanded the victims’ property. During the incident, one suspect pistol-whipped two victims, who were later medically treated for minor injuries. The suspects fled the area with the stolen property before deputies’ arrival.

The Lake Mathews Special Enforcement Team assumed the investigation and identified the suspects involved as Megan Alice Schuchman, a 41-year-old resident of Corona and Ricardo Gonzalez, a 40-year-old resident of Riverside. On Friday, January 10, 2025, the suspects were located in the city of Perris and taken into custody. Both suspects were booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for home invasion robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and additional felony charges.
