Extensive Investigation Leads to Arrest of Victorville Man for Vandalism to Multiple Victor Valley Transit Buses

January 17, 2025 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that in November 2024, maintenance San Bernardino County Sheriff logoemployees at Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA) recognized a recurring vandalism/etching to the glass windows on several public transit buses. The vandalism was reported to Deputy Trevor James at the Sheriff’s Victor Valley Transit Detail. Over the next several weeks, James investigated the vandalism, and with the help of VVTA staff, identified 11 different buses that had their windows etched with the same moniker on several different occasions over an eight-week period. James discovered evidence that identified Brayan Villanueva as the suspect of the vandalism. The cost of the repairs to date is approximately $7,500.00, however this amount is expected to climb.

On January 14, 2025, Villanueva was contacted at a residence in Oro Grande and arrested for vandalism. Villanueva was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for PC 594(b)(1), vandalism over $400.00, and was held with a $30,000.00 bail.
