Suspect Arrested for Criminal Threats
January 24, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on January 21, 2025, the Moreno Valley
Sheriff’s Station Investigation Bureau received information on criminal threats against various city of Moreno Valley officials and Riverside Sheriff’s personnel. The criminal threats were specific and targeted city politicians and officials by name. It was learned Jesse William Wykel, a 32-year-old resident of Moreno Valley, made the threats.
Investigators began following up on leads. On January 21, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., Wykel was located at a residence in the 12000 block of Bluntleaf Court, Moreno Valley. Wykel was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station, where he was interviewed. Wykel was subsequently booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for threatening a public official and threatening an executive officer, and his bail was set at $1,000,000.
