Murder Investigation Begins After Adelanto Man is Shot and Dies at Hospital 

February 6, 2025 – San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department officials report that on Monday, February 3, 2024, at about 9:51 p.m., deputies from the Victor Valley Station responded to a report of shots fired near the 11200 block of Auburn Avenue, in Adelanto.  When deputies arrived, they located a male subject, identified as Maurice Davis, suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.  Davis was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced deceased.  

The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail, along with the Specialized Enforcement Division, responded and assumed the investigation.  An autopsy will be conducted to determine the manner and cause of death.
