Inmate Death
February 6, 2025 – Ventura County Sheriff's Office officials report that on January 24, 2025, at approximately 6:18 P.M., 
Inmate Cory Meade, who was receiving advanced medical care at the Santa Paula Hospital, succumbed to his medical ailments and was pronounced deceased.
Meade had been under the care of Santa Paula Hospital medical personnel since January 23, 2025, for multiple medical complaints.
The cause of death is under investigation by the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau, pending autopsy results from the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office. As a matter of policy, the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau investigates all inmate deaths.
