LAPD Investigates Stabbing Incident During Downtown Demonstration
February 8, 2025 – Los Angeles, CA – Los Angeles Police Department officials report that the Major Crimes Division is
investigating a stabbing incident that occurred in the downtown area.
On February 7, 2025, around 1:34 P.M., officers responded to reports of a possible stabbing that took place during a large demonstration in the area of 200 North Spring Street. Upon arrival, they observed a 17-year-old male victim suffering from a stab wound.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male juvenile.
The public is advised to avoid the area as Spring Street will be closed from Temple Street to 1st Street while investigators gather evidence and locate witnesses.
