Child Predator Taken into Custody 

February 15, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on January 28, 2025, deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s riverside county sheriff logoStation-Special Enforcement Team began an online undercover operation, posing as a 13-year-old female. During the investigation, a response was received from Victor Bustamante, a 54-year-old resident of Perris. During several days of communication with Bustamante, he ultimately agreed to meet to perform sex acts with the underaged female.

On February 15, 2025, deputies arranged to meet Bustamante and took him into custody without incident. He was booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center for arranging to meet a minor with the intent of sexual acts, contacting a minor with intent to commit sexual acts, exhibiting and sending harmful material to a minor, and attempting lewd acts with a minor. Bustamante is being held on a $55,000 bail.
