February 26, 2025 – Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office officials report that Deputy T. Velasco was on the hunt and tracked down a car linked to a theft at Safeway in the City of Cupertino. Inside? A shopping spree gone wrong--stolen stuff from the store everywhere!

But wait, there’s more… Personal information tied to identity theft and stolen packages from a nearby apartment complex were also stashed in the car. The suspect had outstanding warrants and was quickly arrested. The stolen packages were returned to their rightful owners, and Safeway got back what was taken.

Great work, Deputy Velasco! You’re a true crime fighter.
