School Assistant Arrested for Child Sex Crimes; Photo Released as Other Victims May Exist
February 27, 2025 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Tuesday, December 10, 2024,
detectives from the Sheriff’s Department’s Specialized Investigations Division - Crimes Against Children Detail investigated allegations of inappropriate conduct with a minor by a Bilingual Assistant at Oak Hills High School in Hesperia. Detectives identified Bilingual Assistant, Chantalle Jaramillo as the suspect.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Jaramillo was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto for violation of PC 288.3(a) Contacting a Minor to Commit a Sex Act, PC 287(b)(1) Oral Copulation of a Person Under 18 Years, and PC 261.5(c) Unlawful Sex with a Minor 3 or More Years Younger than Defendant in lieu of $150,000 bail.
Detectives believe there may be additional victims and are releasing Jaramillo’s booking photograph.
