Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested
March 18, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 7:45 a.m., deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the 21000 block of Mountain Avenue in Good Hope regarding an assault with a deadly weapon. Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male suffering from traumatic stab wounds. Responding deputies secured the scene, and the Perris Investigations Bureau assumed the investigation. The victim was treated at a local hospital and is in stable condition.
During the investigation, the suspect was identified as 36-year-old Salvador Ortiz of Good Hope. He was located at the scene. Ortiz was arrested and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for attempted murder.
