Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested
March 25, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at 1:48 a.m., deputies from the
Southwest Sheriff's Station responded to a report of a shooting in the 27000 block of Jefferson Avenue, Temecula. Upon arrival, deputies found two male victims who sustained gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel treated the victims and transported them to a local hospital, where they remain in stable condition.
During the investigation, deputies located the suspect vehicle a short distance away and conducted a high-risk stop. The driver, Terrance Sherman, a 25-year-old Temecula resident, was taken into custody.
Investigators determined that the incident stemmed from an altercation that occurred in a parking lot along Jefferson Avenue. As the suspect left the area, he discharged a firearm from his vehicle, striking both victims. Sherman was arrested and booked at the Cois Byrd Detention Center on two counts of attempted murder and felony possession of a firearm.
