SWAT Standoff in Spring Valley 

April 6, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff's Office officials report that a man is in custody after an hours-long san diego county sheriff department logostandoff in Spring Valley.

On Friday, April 4, just before 10:30 a.m., deputies from the Rancho San Diego Sheriff's Station recognized a wanted felony suspect, Jaime Osorio (35), walking near the 900 block of Gillespie Drive.

When he saw deputies, Osorio ran from them and went back inside his home. Due to the potential safety risks posed by Osorio, deputies established a perimeter around the home. The Sheriff's Special Enforcement Detail (SED/SWAT) was also called in to assist.

After a few hours, the inside of the home was searched by SED Deputies, but Osorio was not located.

Just before 6:00 p.m., Osorio was seen by deputies running along the 900 block of La Presa Avenue. Deputies established a perimeter in the area and located Osorio hiding nearby. He was taken into custody without incident.

Osorio was booked into the San Diego Central Jail for his outstanding felony warrant, as well as charges of domestic violence, threats with intent to terrorize and assault with a deadly weapon.
