April 20, 2025 – Marysville, CA – Yuba County Sheriff’s Department officials report that during a probation compliance operation, the combined efforts of the Yuba County Probation Department and Yuba County Sheriff’s Office Problem Oriented Policing (POP) Team, resulted in the arrest of two documented Norteño criminal street gang members.
On April 17, 2025, Raymond Hernandez Jr., 18, of Marysville, along with a juvenile suspect, were taken into custody on the 5900 block of Park Avenue. The encounter resulted in the recovery of an assault rifle and a Polymer80 handgun—commonly known as a “ghost gun” due to its lack of a serial number, rendering it untraceable. Both individuals were arrested on multiple firearms-related charges, including gang enhancement allegations.
This arrest highlights the continued efforts of local law enforcement agencies to address gang-related crime and reduce the presence of illegal firearms within the community.
