Illegal Firearm Arrest in Fallbrook
April 23, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff's Office officials report a man is in custody after he was found with a loaded gun during a traffic stop in Fallbrook.
On Tuesday, April 22, around 2:00 p.m., two deputies from the Fallbrook Sheriff's Substation's Crime Suppression Team (CST) stopped a car for a traffic violation in the 1100 block of South Vine Street.
As soon as the car came to a stop, two passengers got out and ran down an alley.
One deputy stayed with the driver while his partner went after the two men on foot as they ran through a busy parking lot and crossed Main Street. The deputy gave up the foot pursuit after the two men began running in different directions, one of whom nearly got hit by a car. The men have yet to be found.
Michael Robledo (44), the driver of the car that was pulled over during the initial traffic stop, was found to be in possession of illegal narcotics. A loaded handgun was located in the car's passenger compartment. Drug paraphernalia and open containers of alcohol were also found in the car.
Robledo was arrested for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, as well as several narcotics-related charges. He was booked into the Vista Detention Facility.
