Apple Valley Man Dies after Being Shot Multiple Times, Murder Investigation Underway
April 25, 2025 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Thursday, April 17, 2025, deputies responded to an apartment complex on Seneca Road for an assault with a deadly weapon call. When they arrived, they found the victim, Jermaine Trotter, in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds. Trotter was transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
On Sunday, April 22, 2025, Trotter died of his injuries and the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail, assumed the investigation.
