Suspects arrested for commercial burglary in Thousand Oaks
April 28, 2025 – Ventura County Sheriff Office officials report that two burglary suspects were arrested, after committing a 
commercial burglary in Thousand Oaks.
On April 24, 2025, at 6:35 A.M., deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff Office, Thousand Oaks Patrol and detectives from the East County Investigations Bureau responded to a commercial burglary that had just occurred in the 4000 block of Valley Spring Drive in Thousand Oaks. Through the investigation, deputies learned two suspects forced entry into the business and stole property before fleeing in an unreported stolen vehicle.
On April 24, 2025, at approximately 12:00 P.M., utilizing various investigative resources, detectives learned the location of the stolen vehicle. Thousand Oaks station detectives, along with officers from the Los Angeles Police Department, located the stolen vehicle and the two suspects in the City of Los Angeles. Detectives positively identified (S)Benjamin Chloupek and (S) Eric Robles as the burglary suspects.
Chloupek and Robles were arrested and booked at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility for PC 459 – Burglary, and PC 182(a)(1) – Conspiracy to Commit a Crime, with their bail set at $300,00.00 each. Additionally, Chloupek was arrested for a felony out of county arrest warrant. The investigation is ongoing by the East County Investigations Bureau - Commercial Residential Burglary Unit.
