Arrest made in Hate Graffiti Case
May 2, 2025 – Ventura County Sheriff's Office officials report on February 27, 2025, Thousand Oaks Patrol Services deputies 
received a report of vandalism in the quad at Newbury Park High School. The suspect vandalized property by writing hate speech and hate symbol graffiti.
After learning about the incident, the East County Major Crimes Unit immediately launched an investigation into the matter. Through an extensive investigation, detectives identified two male juvenile suspects who were involved in the incident.
On May 1, 2025, detectives served residential search warrants at the suspect’s residence in the cites of Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley. Evidence was located and collected during the service of the search warrants.
Both juveniles were cited and released to their parents for the following felony charges: 594(b)(1) PC / Vandalism, 11411(c) PC / Hate Symbol, and 422.6 (a) PC / Hate Crime.
