Felony Vandalism 

May 6, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on May 5, 2025, around 5:10 a.m., deputies assigned to the riverside county sheriff logoLake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to a vandalism incident at their station, located at 333 Limited Avenue in Lake Elsinore. Deputies discovered that someone had driven a vehicle into the front lobby. They learned that at approximately 2:11 a.m., a vehicle was intentionally driven over the curb, through a metal fence, and into the front doors of the station, causing significant damage before reversing and fleeing the scene. Deputies later located the suspect vehicle and the suspect, identified as 44-year-old Gary Dean Staggs of Wildomar. Staggs was arrested and booked into jail for felony vandalism. The Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station’s lobby was temporarily closed due to the damage and is expected to reopen on May 6, 2025. Patrol and station operations were not affected by the incident.
