Child Predator Arrested 

May 20, 2025 – Yuba City Police Department officials report that on May 4, 2025, Yuba City Police Officers began investigating a call of a sexual assault involving a juvenile victim who had met 42-year-old Gledel Arthur Beacham Jr. out of Sacramento on an online site. Mr. Beacham groomed the victim through chatting and ultimately met with the victim in Yuba City on at least three occasions and sexually assaulted the victim.

The investigation was taken over by the Yuba City Police Investigation Unit who wrote multiple search warrants and reviewed hours of video surveillance to positively identify Mr. Beacham. During the investigation, a warrant was obtained for Mr. Beacham and his information was sent out to several local agencies in an attempt to locate him.

On May 16, 2025, the Elk Grove Police Department, with the assistance of their FLOCK system, located the vehicle Mr. Beacham was driving in and ultimately arrested in an apartment complex. Mr. Beacham was booked into the Sacramento County Jail on charges of child abuse, sexual assault, production of child pornography, and kidnapping. His bail was set at $750,000. Arrangements are being made to have Mr. Beacham transferred to the Sutter County Jail to face prosecution by the Sutter County District Attorney. Though an arrest has been made, the investigation is still on-going and additional charges for Mr. Beacham may be forthcoming.

This was a collaborative effort of law enforcement, from the initial report taken by Officers, to the Investigation Unit identifying Mr. Beacham, and the arrest by the Elk Grove Police Department. Thank you all for your hard work!
