Sexual Assault Arrest – Mar Vista High School, Imperial Beach
May 22, 2025 – San Diego County Sheriff's Office officials report that on May 19th, 2025, the San Diego County Sheriff's 
Office responded to a radio call at Mar Vista High School in Imperial Beach to investigate allegations of a Contracted Student Support Aide having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student.
Detectives with the San Diego County Sheriff's Sexual Assault Unit (SAU) responded to the scene to assist patrol deputies with the investigation. After completing their investigation, SAU Detectives had probable cause to believe 31-year-old Lisette Ortega Veles had committed oral copulation with a victim under 18, in violation of 287 (b) (1) PC; had unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, where the minor is more than three years younger, in violation of 261.5 (c) PC; arranged a meeting with a minor for the purposes of committing a lewd act, in violation of 288.4 (b) PC; communicated with a minor with the intent to commit a lewd act, in violation of 288.3 (a) PC; and attempted to dissuade a victim, in violation of 136.1 (a) (2) PC.
On May 21st, 2025, Ortega was arrested on the above charges and was booked into Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility.
Ortega is employed by RO Healthcare, a third-party contractor used by Mar Vista High School.
