Body found in Area of Pajaro River Levee 

May 24, 2025 – Monterey County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on May 22, 2025, just before 5:00 A.M., deputies were dispatched to a report of a body that was found along the Pajaro River levee west of the Bridge that connects the community of Pajaro to the City of Watsonville.

This is an active investigation. A post-mortem forensic examination was performed on May 23rd, 2025, and it was determined that the body was that of a male. The person’s identity has not yet been determined. A cause of death is pending.

El 22 de mayo de 2025, poco antes de las 5:00 a. m., agentes de la Oficina del Alguacil del Condado de Monterey fueron enviados a atender el reporte de un cadáver hallado junto al dique del río Pájaro, al oeste del puente que conecta la comunidad de Pájaro con la ciudad de Watsonville.
