Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest 

May 27, 2025 – Kern County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on Thursday May 22, 2025, at about 12:20 A.M., Deputies from the Frazier Park Substation were dispatched to the 700 block of Avalon Trail to investigate an assault with a deadly weapon.

​​​​​​​The suspect fled the scene in a black Chevrolet Avalanche. Deputies located the vehicle on Cuddy Valley Road near Tecuya Drive and initiated a traffic stop of the vehicle. Deputies detained the driver and sole occupant, 30-year-old Deandre Andrews of San Diego.

Deputies located the victim in the 3200 block of Mt. Pinos Way. The victim had injuries consistent with being stabbed. The victim was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital via ambulance. Deputies' investigation confirmed Andrews was the suspect. Andrews was arrested, transported and booked into the Lerdo Jail for charges of PC 245(a)(1)- Assault with a deadly weapon.
