Homicide Investigation – Seeking Public Assistance
May 28, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that as another year has passed, Mr. Shannon’s murder remains 
unsolved. Central Homicide Unit investigators have continued to investigate this case and follow up on all leads. Still, the suspects in this case remain unknown. It is believed Mr. Shannon knew and had planned to meet up with the suspects for unknown reasons when the shooting occurred.

Update:
During the last six years, several investigative leads were pursued, but the suspects involved in Mr. Shannon’s murder have not been identified. Witnesses during the night of the shooting advised the suspects fled the area in a dark blue 4-door Buick sedan (Model year 1997-2003). The Riverside Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in solving this case. Original Details:
On May 14, 2018, at about 3:30 p.m., deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to Railroad Canyon and Grape Street, in Lake Elsinore, after receiving a report of a shooting. The victim identified as, Henry Shannon, a 35-year-old resident of Menifee, had driven away from the initial scene. Shannon was then involved in a single-vehicle traffic accident near the intersection of Railroad Canyon Road and Church Road, Lake Elsinore. Deputies performed life-saving measure until paramedics arrived. Shannon was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries sustained from the shooting. The Riverside Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit was notified and assumed the investigation.
