Fatal Traffic Collision 

May 29, 2025 – Ventura County Sheriff's Office officials report that on May 25, 2025, at approximately 10:20 P.M. (2220 hours), deputies responded to the area of Erbes Road north of Tubbs Street, in reference to an injury traffic collision. Upon arrival, it was determined a solo motorcycle was traveling north on Erbes Road when it left the roadway and collided with a large electrical pole on the east sidewalk of Erbes Road.

Ventura County Fire Paramedics and American Medical Response (AMR) responded to the scene and performed life saving measures on the motorcycle rider who was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The motorcycle rider was pronounced deceased at the hospital shortly after his arrival. Next of Kin notification was made by the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The collision is under investigation by the Thousand Oaks Traffic Bureau. Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any additional information about the collision is encouraged to contact Thousand Oaks Traffic Investigator Chris Riggs, information listed below.
