Fraud 

June 15, 2025 – Sutter County Sheriff's Office officials report that on the week of June 2, 2025, the Sutter County Sheriff's Office received multiple reports of thefts from community mailboxes, credit card fraud, and identity theft. Our Community Services Officer took five reports and conducted an investigation that assisted in identifying the potential suspects. The case was turned over to our Investigations Unit, who continued the investigation and were able to author a search warrant for a residence associated with the suspects, located at the 800 block of Graystone Court, Yuba City, and their vehicle.

The search warrant was executed on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, which revealed over 100 pieces of stolen mail, checks, debit and credit cards, identification cards, and burglary tools. 32-year-old Misael Cazares and 35-year-old Crystal Solis-Hirshkorn were located and taken into custody without incident. Cazares and Solis-Hirshkorn were booked into the Sutter County Jail for numerous charges, which included identity theft, possessing identification documents of 10+ individuals with the intent to defraud, possession of stolen property, mail theft, and possession of burglary tools.
