Murder Investigation Begins when 24-Year-Old Woman is Shot in Hesperia; Suspect Taken into Custody
June 25, 2025 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that on Monday, June 23, 2025, at 12:59 a.m.,
deputies responded to a residence in Hesperia for a report of shots fired. When deputies arrived, they located Jasmine Keohi on the sidewalk near the residence. Keohi had been shot and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Through further investigation, deputies learned the suspect, later identified as Jose Antonio Ramirez, also shot at a second victim.
The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail responded and assumed the investigation.
After the shooting, Ramirez fled the area and was later located in a nearby apartment complex by the Sheriff’s Specialized Enforcement Division (SWAT) and taken into custody. He was booked in at the High Desert Detention Center where he remains in custody.
