June 26, 2025 – San Diego Police Department officials report that the Sex Crimes Unit is asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating a suspect responsible for a sexual assault that occurred in the Pacific Beach area of San Diego.
On March 15, 2025, at approximately 1:10 a.m., an adult female victim was in the 700 block of Grand Avenue, in San Diego. The victim got into the backseat of what she believed was her requested rideshare vehicle. The driver, an unknown adult male, fictitiously pretended he was her requested rideshare.
The driver drove the victim a few miles away, where he then sexually assaulted her. The victim then got out of the vehicle and the suspect drove away in an unknown direction.

Suspect’s Description:
The suspect is described as a mixed-raced male, approximately 30 years old, brown eyes, average to muscular build, shoulder-length curly hair, a large nose, mustache and beard. The suspect was possibly driving a 4-door 2022–2025 Toyota Prius or similar make and model.
Based on the suspect’s actions, investigators are trying to determine if there are additional (unreported) victims and for them to come forward.
