Operation Disrupt the Demand: Task Force Arrests 32 Suspects Related to Solicitation of Prostitution and Exploitation

July 3, 2025 – San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials report that between June 23 and June 27, 2025, the San Bernardino San Bernardino County Sheriff logoCounty Sheriff’s Department conducted Operation Disrupt the Demand. Operation Disrupt the Demand was focused on rescuing victims of sexual slavery, identifying and arresting their captors, and disrupting the demand of these vulnerable victims by targeting their customers. Human Trafficking Investigators from the Sheriff's Department's Gangs/Narcotics Division oversaw the county-wide operation in conjunction with the San Bernardino Police Department, California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Probation Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations, along with local victim advocacy partners.

Over the one-week period, investigators arrested 28 individuals for solicitation of prostitution, an individual for solicitation of prostitution of a minor, and three for pimping/pandering. Additionally, investigators rescued three victims of human trafficking who were provided services and resources.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department seeks to disrupt the demand for sex trafficking rings operating within San Bernardino County and will aggressively identify, pursue, and apprehend those who seek to exploit these vulnerable victims. Through proactive enforcement operations, Human Trafficking Investigators diligently work to reduce future demand for sex trafficking by identifying and arresting sex buyers and rescuing those forced into sexual servitude.
