Hit-and-Run Traffic Collision 

July 3, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on June 29, 2025, at 11:56 p.m., deputies from the Riverside Sheriff’s riverside county sheriff logoPerris Station responded to the 1600 block of Perris Boulevard, Perris, regarding a hit and run traffic collision involving a Honda Pilot and a bicyclist. Deputies arrived on the scene and located the bicyclist in the center median suffering from serious injuries. The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital, where they are in stable condition. The driver of the Honda left the scene of the collision before deputies arrived.

The Perris Traffic Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Preliminary findings revealed that the driver of the Honda was traveling southbound on Perris Boulevard when he collided with the rear of the bicycle, which was traveling in the same direction. Alcohol was determined to be a factor in this collision.

The suspect was identified as 41-year-old Kenneth Orlando Juarez Vega, a resident of Perris. Juarez Vega and the Honda were located a short time later, and he was taken into custody. Juarez Vega was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center for hit and run causing serious injury and driving under the influence of alcohol.

A temporary road closure of southbound Perris Boulevard was required to process the scene and collect evidence.
