Street racers, take note: underground garages and parking lots aren’t your playground.
July 12, 2025 – San Diego Police Department officials report that on June 23, a gold BMW was caught doing reckless stunts in the Mission Valley Mall parking garage—leaving behind nearly $5,000 in damage. Thanks to a joint investigation between our SDPD Traffic Special Investigations Unit and San Diego Sheriff, the driver was arrested on July 10 and booked on charges including felony vandalism, reckless driving, and exhibition of speed.
Massive shoutout to SDSO Traffic Deputy Marquez and the Poway Station traffic team for their relentless work on this case.
