Fatal Traffic Collision 

July 19, 2025 – Riverside County Sheriff's Office officials report that on July 17, 2025, at 9:27 p.m., deputies assigned to the Jurupa Valley Sheriff's Station responded to the report of a major injury traffic collision on Van Buren Boulevard, south of Etiwanda Avenue, Jurupa Valley. Deputies, along with paramedics, arrived and located a pedestrian in the roadway who had been struck by a vehicle. Lifesaving measures were performed, but the subject was ultimately pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperative with the investigation.

The Jurupa Valley Sheriff's Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team responded and assumed the investigation, which is ongoing. No arrest has been made at this time, and the cause of the collision remains under investigation. It is unknown if alcohol and drugs played a role in this incident. The victim's name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

There was a temporary closure of Van Buren Boulevard, between Etiwanda Avenue and Bellegrave Avenue, to process the scene and collect evidence.
